Braybrook Railway Contractors

Work about the railway is deemed our core business, be it platform extensions and alterations, station refurbishment (bricklaying, painting, tiling and plastering) and groundworks (troughing routes, undertrack crossings and signal bases).

Braybrook obtained a Network Rail Principal Contractor Licence in 2007 and has continually maintained it following the successful delivery of various railway projects. We were also successful in winning a Gauge Clearance Call Off Contract for the Southern Territories.

As well as acting as priciple contractor to Network Rail, Metronet and Dockalnds Light Railway, we also have also carried out work on a sub-contractor basis for the likes of Volker Fitzpatrick, Balfour Beatty and Skanska McNicholas or various projects.

All staff hold accreditation for the trade/skill they offer together with the appropriate certification to enable them to work on Network Rail, London Underground or DLR infrastructure. Our experienced and skilled site based staff are backed up by a competent project management team including full time Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental personnel.


Specialist services
Our speciality is the re-alignment and replacement of concrete copers, installation of tactile strips and platform paving. Associated works such as platform resurfacing, drainage alterations and painting of warning lines are also undertaken.

Our expansive team of bricklayers are vastly experienced and skilled in their trade and can be offered on a contract hire or pricework basis. Our staff are competent to work alone under Client supervision or can be provided as a self managing team with its own supervisor.

Previous projects have included repair or new build of station platform riser walls, bridge parapets, retaining walls and house building to name but a few.

We can provide a complete end to end service from design through to build on most projects. We have a very close relationship with an experienced design team (Frankham Associates), we have our own project management team, and survey teams with the ability to deal with all aspects from Rimini planning to carrying out Gauge clearance surveys.

Scaffold
Braybrook offers a comprehensive scaffold service on an installation only or design and installation basis which we believe is reliable, competitive and highly professional. All operatives through designer, erector, supervisor and inspector are suitably qualified in their respective fields to ensure the scaffold is designed, erected and maintained in compliance with statutory regulations and the clients requirements.

We are able to undertake any size of contract from small access towers to new build projects and the more complex industrial and specialist installations.

The Company is currently engaged in a long term contract supplying Barrett Homes with a scaffold design and installation package together with bricklayers for various new homes sites across London and East Anglia. However, we have scaffolders with all the necessary tickets to carry out work on the railway infrastructure.

Plant
Braybrook own an expansive array of construction plant and equipment ranging from typical site tools such as generators, drills, kango breakers, concrete mixers, etc up to the size of mini excavator, forklift and hyab lorry.

Owning such a vast store of plant and equipment together with spares, full time fitter and 24hr call out service, we are able to offer our clients a worry free hire service.

Electrical equipment is PAT tested on a three month basis and all items are continually inspected and maintained to ensure they are kept in good working order.
